About Your Therapist

Dr. Sophia Norman is a deeply attuned and intuitive psychologist who helps adults move beneath the surface, into the emotional roots of perfectionism, anxiety, and relational patterns that no longer serve them. Her style is warm, steady, and nonjudgmental, creating the kind of space where you can slow down, listen inward, and begin to truly understand yourself.

Sophia’s work is grounded in psychodynamic and trauma-informed therapy, while drawing from ACT, DBT, somatic approaches, and Internal Family Systems to support lasting change. She believes that many of our struggles come from unspoken experiences, stories held in the body and mind that are waiting to be seen and felt with compassion. In therapy, she helps you explore those inner worlds, connect with disowned parts of yourself, and develop a more authentic relationship to who you are.

Her clients are often thoughtful, insightful people, high achievers, creatives, and caregivers, who feel stuck in cycles of self-criticism, emotional intensity, or burnout. Sophia helps them uncover the deeper patterns underneath these experiences and find new ways of being that feel more genuine, grounded, and free.

Sophia earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The Wright Institute, where she focused on integrative and relational models of psychotherapy. She has trained in a range of modalities that honor both the mind and body, supporting her belief that healing happens through curiosity, emotional honesty, and connection.

Outside of her practice, Sophia finds renewal through reading, time with friends, and moments of quiet reflection in the sun. She brings this same spirit of openness and presence into her sessions, inviting you to discover the parts of yourself that have been waiting to emerge, and to live from a place that feels more whole.
